The person behind Club BMG

Meet Lissa

Welcome!

If we haven’t met yet, I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Lissa Ballard, creator of Club BMG—Club Busy Mommas and Grammies.

I’m Momma to three amazing grown men, plus two grown heart-adopted kiddos—one guy and one gal. I’m Grammie to three biological littles, two boys and a girl, and heart-Grammie to many more.

I’m also big sister to one amazing gal who has been my lifelong bestie—Thelma to my Louise!—and I’m fortunate to call several incredible women my heart sisters.

Different paths. Same heart.

I began my professional life at 22 as a first-grade teacher. After moving to North Carolina from Virginia, I became a credit manager for a large jewelry corporation. A few administrative roles later, I found work I truly loved as a Lead Electrical Sales Engineer for General Electric, specializing in controls and smaller projects.

After my third son was born in 2000, an on-the-job injury eventually ended my career outside the home. Life changed directions again—but it certainly didn’t stop.

Today, I’m a Stephen Minister, I sing in my church choir, and I’m a Pampered Chef Director. I’ve worn quite a few hats along the way, but the common thread has always been people: teaching them, helping them, feeding them, encouraging them, and making room for them at the table.
